1968

In the 1960s, when Friderik Lazar was still employed at KŽK in Šenčur near Kranj as a service shop manager, he began reconstructing and improving existing machines with an aim to facilitate the farmer’s work through innovations. His inventiveness and persistence became the primary driving forces behind the development of Agromehanika and are still deeply ingrained in the values of the company and its employees today.

1970-1990

Over a span of two decades, Agromehanika quickly progressed to become one of the key sales and manufacturing companies in Yugoslavia. In the area of sales, Agromehanika represented brands like IMT and Tomo VInkovič through its trade and service centres spread all over the Yugoslav republics. By developing its own series of sprayers and mist blowers, Agromehanika soon became the leading Yugoslav manufacturer of plant protection machines that were also successfully imported to East European countries.

1990-2010

When Slovenia declared its independence in 1991, Agromehanika practically lost its entire market. To compensate for such income loss, the company became fully committed to finding new markets. It evolved into the prime retailer of agricultural machinery by opening two additional shopping centres in Slovenia. In the 1990s, Agromehanika became a general sales representative for Antonio Carraro and Renault tractors, followed by Deutz Fahr and several other brands of implements. With an aim to enter more challenging European markets, Agromehanika focused particularly on the development of crop protection machinery. One of its major ventures and stories of success was certainly the decision to develop and produce its own series of AGT tractors.
